See the UK’s top three-year-olds in action at the Dengie/Horse & Hound Scottish Sports Horse of the Future loose jumping final
Some of the best three-year-old performance horses in Britain will be making their way to Gleneagles EC to contest the Dengie/Horse & Hound Scottish Sports Horse of the Future loose jumping final.
The final takes place at the Perthshire equestrian centre on Saturday, 13 October at 6pm. It promises to be an exciting affair as, for the first time, a qualifier has been held in Ireland and two horses from the Emerald Isle are expected to take part.
The winner will take home £500 in prize money, plus the Dengie Main Ring trophy and the Horse & Hound cut glass decanter. Other prizes including Dengie Main Ring jackets, feed vouchers, and cash down to sixth place with special awards for the highest placed colt, filly and gelding.
The breeder of the winning horse will receive £50 cash and a shield from Monarch Stabling, while the horse’s groom will be awarded a Horse & Hound pocket flask.
The championship is part of a weekend show jumping spectacular that also includes Scotland’s King of the Ring finals for junior and senior riders.
A large audience is expected for the event and entrance for spectators is free. For more information (tel: 01333 360287).
