Goodbye Fair Breeze

  • Top riding horse Fair Breeze, who stood supreme at Wembley in 1989, has died aged 21

The riding horse Fair Breeze, winner of the championship and overall supreme at Wembley in 1989, has died at the age of 21.

By the Thoroughbred Falaise out of a Bwlch Valentino pony mare, he was introduced to the show ring by Scottish producer Kirstine Douglas. Bought by the Hollings brothers in 1987, he took the small riding horse of the year title for next three years.

In 1992, Sophie Iredale took over the ride from Nigel Hollings and the new partnership stood supreme at the BSHCRHA Championships.
