Training days for eventers


  • Event riders in the north of England can train with top names before the season gets underway

    Rider and trainer Helen Bell is running two evaluation and training days at her base in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Similar to the training days held in south by British Eventing, these days aim to encourage safe cross-country riding.

    There are two days currently available.

    The first will take place on 26 Januaryand is open to riders competing at all levels. The day will focuss on showjumping with Ruth Williams and cross-country with Helen Bell.

    The second day is for juniors – aged between 14 and 18 – and will take place on 9 February, although places for this day are limited. This day will cover dressage, show jumping and cross-country and Helen will be joined by Karen Dixon and Chris McGrann.

    “These days are an excellent opportunity for everyone to get training and ride safely overfences,” said Helen.
