Ulla Salzgeber leads dressage rankings


  • German riders show their strength in the latest FEI/BCM World Dressage Rankings

    Germany’s Ulla Salzgeber has retained her position at the top of the FEI/BCM World Dressage Riders Rankings, which now includes all the 2001 results.

    Ulla has an unchanged score of 79.645, ahead of fellow countryman Nadine Capellmann on 77.875. Denmark’s Lars Petersen has dropped from second to third with 77.526.

    Arjen Teeuwissen’s (NED) excellent results with Gestion Goliath at Amsterdam and Mechelen during December has seen him leap from 83rd to 7th place in the rankings.

    Top British rider is Emile Faurie, who is in 39th place, an improvement of two places on his previous ranking. He is ahead of Sandy Phillips who has dropped from 37th to 40th position.

    Other British riders include Emma Hindle, (46th), 66.818, Richard Davison (47th) 66.773; Nicky Barrett, (49th) 66.333; and Wilfried Bechtolsheimer, (50th), 66.090.
