Youth SJ squads set to shine


  • Show jumping’s juniors and young riders groomed for stardom in 2002

    With many of Britain’s former European medallists having moved into senior ranks at the end of last year, the BSJA has announced its new Accenture junior and young riders squads.

    The junior (under-18) squad consists of Nicola Bampton, James Billington, Stacey Cleal, Lauren Fitch, Richard Hook, Richard Moor, Lisa Phillips, Lee Williams and Ellen Whitaker.

    The members of the young rider squad are Matthew Broome, Gemma Cranton, James Davenport, Jemma and Ricki Hill, Sarah Lynch, Ben Maher, Kate Mead, Richard Robinson, Robert Whitaker and James Wingrave.

    The squads will attend a full programme of international shows, culminating in the Junior European Championship at Hagen, Germany and Young Rider European Championship at Copenhagen, Denmark.
