Double success for top Danish dressage rider as he claims victory in Denmark and Germany
Lars Petersen and Blue Hors Cavan took the dressage World Cup qualifying honours for two weeksin succession.
After trouncing the opposition on home ground in Denmark, Lars beat the Germans at their own game in the strongly-contested Neumunster World Cup qualifier in Germany.
The Danish duo gained a 2% victory over Germany’s Ulla Salzgeber, riding her second string Wallstreet. However, the European gold medallist reversed the placing when heading a high-scoring grand prix.
German-based Sandy Phillips riding No Limit was the best of the British riders in the qualifying grand prix, scoring more than 66% to finish in 15th place. Richard Davison and Emile Faurie also competed.
A World Cup win would be fitting for Lars Petersen and Blue Hors Cavan. The partnership missed the Olympics, where they were strongly tipped for a medal, because Blue Hors Cavan required major surgery.
