Your chance to win a special course walk with a top rider at Hickstead’s Eventing Grand Prix this month
Horse & Hound Online has joined forces with Horseware Ireland, the official rug provider of, Hickstead’s All England Jumping Course, to offer 10 users the chance to walk the Eventing Grand Prix course with a top rider at the Royal International Horse Show (24-28 July).
The lucky winners can look forward to rubbing shoulders with one of Horseware’s sponsored riders, which include three-times winner of the Eventing Grand Prix Pippa Funnell (pictured), top eventers Blyth Tait and William Fox-Pitt, plus international show jumpers Peter Charles, Di Lampard, Geoff Billington and Tim Stockdale.
Now in its fifth year, the Eventing Grand Prix, which this year is sponsored for the first time by Mitsubishi Motors, always attracts top names from the world of show jumping and eventing in a battle between the disciplines over a course of show jumps and cross-country type fences.
Pippa Funnell is expected to try and repeat last year’s victory with her Eventing Grand Prix specialist The Tourmaline Rose, while Michael Whitaker, second for the last two years, is likely to lead the showjumper’s offensive.
In addition to the course walk, the 10 lucky winners will receive complimentary passes for the day (Friday 26 July), courtesy of Hickstead.
