Tester’s comments
“Like most horse owners I have my personal favourites when it comes to equine shampoos and tail conditioners/detanglers. But I have to admit I am considering changing my allegiances after using Champion Tails’ products.
“I used the Restoring Emollient Shampoo when I gave my horse her first bath of the year. Her coat was really greasy after being rugged all winter and she had been enjoying rolling in her muddy field during the long wet spring.
“I had to use quite a lot of shampoo to form a rich lather, as instructed on the bottle, but was pleasantly surprised by how easily it rinsed out.
“I found using a separate conditioner which had to be rinsed out a couple of minutes later, like its human counterpart, a bit fiddly, but the tail certainly looked full and was fairly easy to brush through afterwards.
“Stara’s coat dried nice and flat and was a rich mahogany with a fantastic shine. The shampoo left her mane really clean without being difficult to plait the following day.”
Verdict: Would definitely buy the shampoo again – her coat has never looked so good
