This year’s ABRS conference is an essential diary date for riding school proprietors, instructors and managers
Discussions about the challenges facing the British equestrian industry will form a vital part of the Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) annual conference and dinner at the Quality Hotel in Northampton on Monday 14 October.
Essentially for riders, proprietors, instructors and managers, the ABRS annual conference will provide employers and employees will an opportunity to address topical issues affecting their working environment. The conference is also an excellent educational opportunity for students.
Topics under discussionwill include “horse passports” by James Gray MP, “carrying out a risk assessment” by Charlie Lane and “using riding holidays to grow the market” by successful riding holiday business proprietor Wendy Hofstee.
On a lighter note delegates can win a weekend for two at the Salon du Cheval, Paris, courtesy of Martin Loveday & Son worth £500 in the raffle during the event.
The conference will be followed by a day of practical demonstrations and presentations at East Lodge Farm Riding Establishment, Ecton, Northamptonshire on Tuesday 15 October. The event will includes contributions from the “Ride with your mind” specialist, Mary Wanless.
A limited numbers of tickets are still available. Monday: £21 for ABRS members and £25 for non-members; Tuesday: £18 for ABRS members and £20 for non-members.
