HHO has joined forces with Intervet UK to offer you and three friends the chance to enjoy a day out at the Cheltenham Open race meeting
Whether you’re an avid national hunt racing enthusiast or fancy a day at the races for the first time our competition to win tickets for the Cheltenham Open race meeting (15-17 November) will be right up your street.
One lucky winner, plus three friends, will enjoy a day at Cheltenham’s Open race meeting on Saturday 16 November. There are also two runners-up prizes of a pair of tickets up for grabs.
The day’s racing includes the first classic steeplechase of the season, the £100,000 Thomas Pink Gold Cup, as well as the £60,000 Intervet Trophy Handicap Steeplechase and the £50,000 Tote Bookmakers Handicap Hurdle.
Intervet is sponsoring the Handicap Steeplechase for the third consecutive year and the three-mile, three and a half furlong race is expected to attract some of racing’s leading stayers.
Last year’s race was won by the Irish mare, Hati Roy, owned by Mrs R A Humphries and trained by top national hunt trainer Henrietta Knight, who also trained this year’s Gold Cup winner, Best Mate.
The three days of top racing are expected to attract a capacity crowd of more than 50,000 people. Other highlights of the meeting include:
- Countryside displays including birds of prey and beagles at Cheltenham Countryside Day (15 November)
- The Sporting Index Chase over Cheltenham’s demanding cross-country course with its natural hedges, timber and banks
- The Thoroughbred Breeders Association stallion parade — See Ascot Gold Cup winners, Kayf Tara and Classic Clich‚, and the St Leger winner, Silver Patriarch parade prior to the racing
- The Rehabilitation of Racehorses Handicap Hurdle (17 November)
As well as top national hunt racing, the Open meeting is an ideal Christmas shopping opportunity with 70 trade stands offering jewellery and clothing to pictures and ornaments contained in Cheltenham’s tented shopping village.
About Intervet
To celebrate the launch of Vectin, a new broad-spectrum equine wormer containing ivermectin, Intervet has joined forces with HHO to offer you the chance to win tickets to Cheltenham.
Vectin should be used every 8-10 weeks throughout the grazing season to kill the adult and larval stages of important internal parasites such as small and large redworms and should be also be administered in December to remove bots.
