Britain’s leading show jumping pony, Mark Samuels’s New York Spritzer, is currently recovering from an emergency operation for a displaced bowel.
The 11-year-old grey, who partnered Louise Pavitt (pictured) to European team gold and individual silver earlier this year and has won more than £27,000 to date, was taken ill on Saturday morning (30 November).
“There was no internal damage and he’s much better; he’s already hungry,” said Mark Samuels. “However, he will be withdrawn from sale for the foreseeable future, to enable him torecover.”
