  • The eventingworld was shocked by the loss of Ian Stark’s great partner Jaybee, who was put down after fracturing his sesamoid bone during the steeplechase phase of Pau three-day event. Owned by Lady Hartington, the 12-year-old 16.1hh brown gelding won Badmintonand European team gold in 1999, plus team silver at the Sydney Olympics. Ian described him as “a great little horse with enormous character”.
