Hickstead Derby still without a sponsor

  • Tickets are now on sale for this summer’s British Jumping Derby Meeting at Hickstead (19-23 June) — but the event is still without a title sponsor.

Organisers at Hickstead told H&H they had “contingency plans” in place to enable the class to run.

The Hickstead Derby, now in its 53rd year, is one of the sport’s most iconic classes. It was sponsored most recently by Carpetright, founded by Lord Harris, the joint owner of Scott Brash’s Olympic ride Hello Sanctos.

The company pulled out of sponsorship in October 2012, to enable Lord Harris to concentrate on ownership.
