Farewell to… a popular British Show Pony Society steward

  • The popular British Show Pony Society (BSPS) steward and former course-builder David Colles died suddenly at the age of 74 in December.

Mr Colles was a staunch supporter of showing and started with the BSPS in the early 1980s.

He was an Area 2B committee member for many years and, in his role on the Summer Championships committee, co-ordinated the transformation of a sheep building at East of England showground into the Vauxhall Champions indoor arena.

Mr Colles leaves his wife Anne, children Karen, Michelle and Jason and grandchildren Jack and Zac.

His funeral has already been held.
