  • The British Horse Society (BHS) has promoted its chairman Lynn Petersen to chief executive.

Ms Petersen had been chairman of the BHS since April 2012, when Dr Phil Wadey resigned. She had been the board trustee responsible for the BHS’s modernisation programme.

Ms Petersen takes over as chief executive from Graham Corey, who left suddenly in September.

BHS vice-chairman Claire Aldridge will move up to the post of chairman.
