Farewell to… former H&H cover girl Claire Haddock

  • Claire Haddock – who featured on a 2003 H&H cover with her racehorse to riding horse winner, Red Mimosa – died on 23 July.

She was 32 and had been suffering from hepatitis.

The Sunderland-based rider won side saddle classes all over the country, including the championship at the Scottish Horse Show.

With former hurdler Red Mimosa she won the showing section of the racehorse to riding horse competition in 2003.

She last competed at Ponies (UK) in 2005.

Claire’s father Bill told H&H she had been “full of fun and very determined”.

Her funeral took place on Friday, 3 August.
