West Yorkshire Police signs contract with easibed

  • Police horses in Yorkshire will be kept on recycled wood fibre bedding, thanks to a new contract with easibed.

Animal bedding company easibed has signed a two-year-contract with the West Yorkshire Police Force.

The bedding will be used by 18 operational horses stabled at Carr Gate in Wakefield.

Breeds include Irish Draught, Irish Draught Cross/Shire cross and a Clydesdale cross –  ranging from 16.3hh to 18hh.

Inspector Thackray of the West Yorkshire Police Force, said: “We have been really pleased with the product, and the delivery and service given by easibed. The stablehands find it good to work with.”

easibed is made from clean white wood fibre and provides a dust-free, supportive bed with a consistency that allows the wet to drain through to the base where it is absorbed, leaving the top dry and comfortable.
