A horse racing fan will have run a mile at each of Britain’s 60 racecourses this week in aid of Sport Relief.
Richard Ward’s challenge started at Bath racecourse on Saturday (17 March) and finishes today (23 March) at Newbury.
On his busiest day, last Tuesday (20 March) he visited 11 racecourses and ran a mile on each – including Nottingham, York and Ripon.
To complete the challenge 30-year-old Richard has travelled more than 2,500 miles.
“My two main loves are horseracing and football, and it has always been my aim to go to every racecourse so this is a great way to tick them all off and help people living incredibly tough lives in the UK and around the world,” he said.
With the help of Racing for Change Richard hopes to raise £10,000 for Sport Relief through sponsorship.
Richard’s previous challenges have included visiting all of the London Underground stations within a 24-hour period, as well as completing the same challenge on Tokyo’s transport system.
