The British Horse Society has been successful in its call for warning signs on a stretch of bridleway shared with access to a housing estate in Hampshire.
Hampshire County Council has agreed to put up signs telling motorists to be aware of horses, cyclists and walkers using the route near Romsey.
It follows an incident in which a horse was startled by a car and fell heavily on the tarmacked path last year.
