A rider has turned to the London Appeal Court in an attempt to sue the owner of an Arab gelding from whom she fell.
Nadine Turnbull, of Hanslope, Milton Keynes, helped to exercise “Gem” while his owner Rebecca Warrener was pregnant.
She fell from the horse on to tarmac, sustaining an injury to her head that subsequently caused migraines, when he bolted with her in March 2006.
Ms Turnbull blames a bitless bridle that she says Ms Warrener, of Browns Wood, Milton Keynes, requested she used.
Her claim for damages against Ms Warrener was dismissed by Oxford County Court last year. Now a panel of three Appeal Court judges will decide if the decision should be overturned.
They heard the evidence on 6 February and will give their judgement at a later date.
