The Pure Feed Company is to improve its online store and nutritional advice service after receiving a six-figure investment into the business.
The Somerset-based company was only set up two years ago but Martin Bowles of Horatio Investments said: “We were impressed with the passion and enthusiasm of the team. They understand horses, how to feed them and the needs of their owners and we feel that the company has strong potential to become a major player in the industry.”
Robert Fowler of Pure Feed added: “The range has been formulated according to how horses have evolved to eat, rather than simply according to traditional feeding norms or commercial requirements.
“All our feeds are all high fibre and ultra low starch and sugar and are 100% free from molasses. Science shows that feeding horses in this way can help to prevent problems such as gastric ulcers, colic, azoturia and excitability.”
Pure Feed will use the investment to further develop customer service and nutritional advice resources as well as developing its online store.
And sponsored riders – including Laura Collett – will benefit from enhanced support in the build up to London 2012 and beyond
