Injured jockey Peter Toole has been discharged from hospital and has returned home.
The jockey, who suffered serious head injuries in a fall at Aintree in April, had been recovering in the National Rehabilitation Centre in Ireland.
He went home yesterday (16 August).
“Peter Toole returns home to family as officially discharged from National Rehab Centre in Dun Laoghaire. Happy Days!” Tweeted the Injured Jockeys Fund yesterday.
And the racing community has been showing its support.
“Best news of the day and probably of the week that Peter Toole is back home with his family,” tweeted jockey William Kennedy.
