French showjumper killed in quad bike accident


  • Showjumper and young horse producer Cedrik Laurent Ramos has been killed in a quad bike accident aged 42.

    The French national was driving his green Yamaha quad bike when a collision happened with a white Fiat Seicento on the A417 east of Burley Gate, near Hereford, at 12.30am on Wednesday (August 10).

    He was taken to Hereford County Hospital after sustaining serious head injuries and died later that morning.

    The rider, based in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire, had spent some time working in Hickstead after growing up in St Antonin-du-Var in the south of France

    An open Requiem Mass will be held at Belmont Abbey on 19 August at 10am.

    The family requests that donations to be made to the Air Ambulance or Herefordshire Riding for the Disabled in lieu of flowers.
