Fans of the great grey racehorse Rooster Booster can now wear a rugby shirt in his colours.
The 2003 Cheltenham Champion Hurdle winner, owned by Terry Warner, was a crowd favourite. Now Terry has teamed up with clothing company Turf Legends and a distinctive yellow and black top has been launched.
“Every so often a racehorse comes along that becomes a superstar. Even non-racing fans are familiar with the names of Arkle, Red Rum and Desert Orchid, and these great horses are celebrated in our ‘Classic Colours’ range of shirts,” said Turf Legends’ Lee Janes.
“The latest addition to the collection is Rooster Booster. Greys are always popular, but like Desert Orchid, Rooster Booster was more than just a grey, he was probably one of the best-loved Cheltenham contenders of recent years. The new shirt is in Terry’s colours — the striking yellow and black V that was also carried by Triumph Hurdle winner Detroit City and is today by Pasco and Oiseau de Nuit.”
The shirts costs £62.50 and available in sizes small to XXL.
