A two-day equine dentistry course, designed to prepare experienced equine dental technicians (EDT) for their exam, will take place on 19-20 August.
The lecture-based course, which is hosted by the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and the British Veterinary Dental Association (BVDA), is compulsory for candidates aiming for the BEVA/BVDA Equine Dental Technicians exam, but is also designed as a refresher for qualified EDTs. There will be a seminar on preparation for the exam and the course will cover all the theory needed.
Key speakers include equine dentistry experts Rob Pascoe BVSc MRCVS BAEDT, Chris Pearce BVSc CertEM (IntMed) MRCVS BAEDT and Rupert Smith BAEDT.
BEVA-accredited EDT and vet Victoria Nicholls said: “This is an essential for exam candidates as it provides a great theoretical overview of the equine industry by some really good speakers. The lectures are clear, concise and illustrated well by great examples of how to approach problem cases.”
The Advanced Theoretical Equine Dental Technicians Course will be held at Jurys Inn Hotel, Birmingham on 19-20 August.
It costs £450 for two days, but BEVA veterinary members can attend the second day only for £250.
