Charles Owen to build new £1.25m warehouse

  • Safety wear manufacturers Charles Owen & Company is building an impressive new warehouse as part of its 100-year anniversary celebrations.

Famous for its riding helmet and body protectors, the company is undergoing an expansion programme to enable it to continue to grow its business globally. The brand already exports nearly 70% of its British-made products worldwide.

A new £1.25m warehouse is being built by Eric Wright Construction at the Charles Owen headquarters in Wrexham, North Wales.

“This project will enable us to provide more jobs and grow our capacity. Specifically it will allow us to accommodate our growing market in Europe,” said operations director Rick Hone.

Work started on the 3,000 square metre warehouse this month and is expected to take six months to complete.
