Grassroots eventer, Marie Ewen
Marie Ewen is a 27-year-old amateur, who works full-time as a science teacher and has a baby daughter. She has qualified for the BE100 finals at the Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots Championship with Winnie Bago. She also has an ex-racer who has been in-foal and will be returning to eventing later in the season.
BS junior chef d’equipe, Corinne Bracken
Corinne Bracken is the children, junior and young rider showjumping chef d’equipe for British Showjumping. She will be sharing her highs and lows as she tracks the success of the teams as they aim to uphold British pride at competitions through the UK and around the world.
Badminton debutant, Ben Hobday
Ben Hobday, 22, is aiming for his first Badminton in 2011, riding his former young rider medallist Uptons Who. He started his diary in January and will be updating us weekly on his progress towards the Gloucestershire four-star, as well as filling us in on day-to-day life on a busy event yard.
Racehorse trainer, Toby Coles
Twenty-five-year-old Toby Coles is Britain’s newest — and youngest — racehorse trainer. He currently trains out of Cedar Lodge Stables in Newmarket. His weekly diary has been running since August 2010 and covers the trials and tribulations, the highs and the lows, the work and play of a young man trying to make a go out of training racehorses.
Showing rider and judge, Chloe Chubb
Chloe Chubb has been writing about her experience showing and judging while holding down a full-time job in London on the H&H website since March 2010. Having qualified her top ride, a Welsh section C called Popsters Loaded Weapon (or Jacob), for HOYS in 2010, he has returned to stud and she has a new young Welsh section C, Popsters Debonair (Pop), preparing for his showring debut.
Apprentice farrier, Roland Thompson
Roland Thompson is a 39-year-old former software company director, who is retraining as a farrier. He started his apprenticeship in January 2011 and his blog kicked off at the same time. He is going to be sharing the highs and lows of the his training and life working alongside a farrier in the south west.

Chinese event rider, Alex Hua Tian
Chinese teenage Olympic event rider and former Eton schoolboy Alex Hua Tian wrote a regular blog on the H&H website from July 2009 until the end of the 2010 eventing season. During this time he competed at his first Badminton and Burghley.
Burghley first-timer, Georgie Strang
Georgie Strang wrote a weekly blog in the run up to her Burghley debut in 2010 with Andrew Hoy’s former ride Master Monarch. Unfortunately they crashed out on the cross-country.
Badminton first-timer, Sarah Stretton
Following a successful Burghley debut in 2009, Sarah Stretton was aiming for her first Badminton Horse Trials in 2010 with Lazy Acres Skip On. Unfortunately she sustained a nasty knee injury in a fall from one of her other horses while going cross-country at Swalcliffe and was unable to ride at Badminton
Mongol Derby rider, Katy Willings
Former British pony dressage team rider, Katy Willings, shared her trials and tribulations as she prepared to cross 1,000km of the Mongolian wilderness in the inaugural Mongol Derby. She may not have won, but she did complete the epic adventure and it proved to be a life-charging experience for her.
Dressage young rider, Charlie Hutton
Young rider team member Charlie Hutton wrote a regular blog for Horse & Hound during 2009, which saw him give an insight into his life at the family riding centre Taland, where he spends the majority of his time teaching and riding, alongside his competition experiences.
Badminton rider, Dee Kennedy
After a crashing fall jumping into the quarry in 2008, Dee Kennedy returned to Badminton in 2009 with the aim of improving on her previous year’s performance. Older and wiser, Dee and Big El performed well in all three phases to achieve their first completion at four-star level.
