Farewell to Sandra Harvey

  • Sandra Harvey, joint-master of the Brecon and Talybont, has died after suffering head injuries in a riding accident.

She was exercising her horse on 7 November with her sister Ricky, when both horses were spooked by a quad bike.

Sandra fell off and was taken to a Cardiff hospital, where she died on 18 November.

Sandra, 68, had been a popular master since 2003, and had hunted with the South Wales pack for 18 years.

Roger Price, one of her joint-masters, said: “Sandra was an unsung hero. She leaves an enormous hole in our hunt.”

Sandra leaves a husband, David, and two daughters, Clare and Justine.

There will be a celebration of Sandra’s life in St Gwendoline’s church, Talgarth, on Friday 3 December at noon.
