About the Injured Jockeys Fund
Founded in 1964 following the devastating accidents to Tim Brookshaw and Paddy Farrell in that year’s Grand National, the Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF) has since spent over £16m in helping more than 1,000 jockeys whose injuries have forced some of them to give up riding.
Since 1964 the IJF has provided medical, financial and pastoral care, to jockeys, their spouses, or dependants, who have suffered through injury.
You can help support this worthwhile cause this Christmas by buying the 2011 Injured Jockeys Fund wall calendar. It features 12 golden racing moments from the careers of some of our most admired jockeys, past and present, giving an interesting behind the scenes insight to each occasion. Each calendar includes all the racing fixtures throughout the year in the UK and Ireland. They cost £10 inc p&p.
