Women in Racing launches new website

  • Women in Racing, a group set up to attract women into the business side of racing, has a new website.

The site — www.womeninracing.co.uk — includes details about membership, news items and information on events.

It will also include advice for women within the racing industry to raise their profile and ways to help members make new connections and build business relationships.

The group, which was set up by Racehorse Owners Association board member Sally Rowley-Williams, aims to “attract more women into racing, to strengthen connections and collaborate on approaches to help promote the health of the sport and to enhance its reputation as an attractive sector in which to build a career”.

The group previously had a page within the British Horseracing Authority’s website.

“We are delighted to now have the tool we need to communicate effectively all that we have achieved in the year since our launch in building our membership and providing them with a platform to develop new business relationships,” said Ms Rowley-Williams.

“We look forward to the future, including a charity race in April at Ascot to support our chosen partner, the Racing to Schools programme.”
