Countryside Alliance computer hacker is caught again

    • A computer hacker who brought down the Countryside Alliance (CA)’s website “because he didn’t like what they stood for” has been caught again.

    Matthew Anderson, 33, of Dummuir in Moray immobilised the CA’s website for two days in October 2004.

    The disruption caused the CA to move its server to America in order to increase security.

    Last Friday (22 October), Anderson pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court to further offences under the Computer Misuse Act.

    The court heard how computer hacker Anderson targeted hundreds of businesses with spam containing hidden viruses between September 2005 and June 2006.

    He will be sentenced on 22 November.
