More than £127,000 raised for Horses for Heroes

  • An impressive £127,500 has been raised for Horses for Heroes by The Royal Mews, Windsor Castle.

The money was raised at a Horses for Heroes racenight hosted by The Royal Mews, which included dinner, a raffle and auction including lots for tickets to Wimbledon, a limited edition Stevenson Brothers rocking horse and a box at Olympia.

The Horses for Heroes sponsored ride takes place this weekend (10 July) at Ascot Racecourse and Windsor Great Park.

More than 600 riders have signed up for the fundraising event, including former jockey and Racing Post founder Brough Scott, serviceman Guy Disney who lost his lower right leg serving in Afghanistan and H&H racing correspondent Marcus Armytage.

The eight-mile ride is to raise money for the military charity Help for Heroes.
