Is your county the horsiest in Britain? Be sure to read next week’s Horse & Hound (8 July) to find out.
We’ve commissioned a special report looking at everything from shows to access, equine vets to famous riders, and trainers to tackshops, in order to discover which county deserves the accolade.
H&H last carried out a county survey in 2003, when Devon came out on top — will it successfully defend its crown this time?
H&H deputy editor Jaki Bell, who has conducted the survey, said: “This time around we’ve up-dated our criteria to reflect what’s going on in the equestrian world of 2010.
“The results are fascinating and reflect not only on where we all live — or would like to live — but also on what we’re doing with our horses. Don’t miss it!”
