HOYS ‘points’ qualification proposal gets thumbs down from riders


  • Showing competitors are unhappy about proposals to change the way horses qualify to compete at the Horse of the Year Show.

    In a bid to support county shows and breed societies and improve the system for competitors, Grandstand Media — organisers of the show — is considering a raft of ideas including the possibility of setting up a qualifications league.

    But riders are speaking out against the plans, which are not likely to be installed for another two years.
