Pony Club members go to Ireland for hunting exchange

  • Four Pony Club members will fly to Ireland later this month for the 2009 Pony Club hunting exchange.

Helen Addicott, 21, of Tetcott & South Tetcott branch, Megan Bryant, 17, of the Flint Denbigh, Edward Dungait, 17, of the Morpeth and Laura Sale, 19, of the North Hereford will spend 11 days in Ireland.

They will enjoy at least three days out with either the Waterford, Meath, Tipperary, Louth and West Meath.

The riders will be provided with horses for the duration of the exchange and will stay with families from the host branch.

Laura Sale told H&H: “I submitted a CV detailing my riding and hunting experience, as well as two references and a letter of recommendation from the district commissioner.

“I’m very excited and can’t wait to go — I am very nervous!”

The exchange programme has been running since 2002.
