A horse was put down on Monday (13 July) after falling into an unused well on a Perthshire farm.
A Tayside Fire and Rescue crew and the Perth heavy rescue unit were called to Pairney Farm near Auchterarder at around 8.50pm following reports of an animal in distress.
They found the horse trapped on its back in the well shaft.
A vet put the horse down at the scene.
