The veteran sports presenter died on 11 January after suffering a heart attack. He was 73.
Mr Vine was the voice of the BBC’s coverage of the Horse of the Year Show in the 1970s and 1980s, during the heyday of British show jumping greats like Harvey Smith and David Broome.
But his breadth of TV presenting spanned every genre from light entertainment like It’s A Knockout and Question of Sport, to pure sports programmes like Ski Sunday, Grandstand and snooker.
He retired from the BBC microphone in August 2000.
