BEVA hosts two-day foal care course in Pembrokeshire


  • Horse owners interested in breeding and foal care can attend a two-day course on foal care, hosted by the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) next month.

    The course will be held at Cotts Farm Equine Clinic in Pembrokeshire on 5-6 February and will focus on topics such as problems with foaling, foal respiratory disease and nursing the orphan foal.

    There will also be practical sessions including scanning the late pregnancy mare and catheter placement.

    Vets speaking at the course will include Fil de Oliveira, Charlie Cooke, Emma Alsop, Alex Dugdale, Graham Fowke, Richard Coomer, John Edwards, Bonny Millar and Shaun McKane.

    Tickets cost £550 for BEVA members and £650 for non members, including dinner.
