Commuters have been delayed two mornings in a row this week after loose horses strayed onto the A127 in Essex.
This morning (10 December) 5 or 6 horses were reported wandering along a slip road at Romford at 6.20am.
Metropolitan Police Service officers were called. They rounded up the horses and contacted their owner. None of the horses was hurt.
On Tuesday (9 December) the road was shut from 7.10am-8.40am as 4 horses were roaming on the same stretch of road.
A spokesman for the Met told H&H: “It is thought that the horses escaped onto the road through some faulty fencing. It is also appears that they were the same horses as the previous day.”
