Riding instructor Mandi Pritchard and her 10-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, Shared Harmony, picked up their HOYS ticket at Addington.
“I first met Harmony five years ago on a yard when I freelanced,” explains Mandi. “He was always losing shoes and they had to be glued on in the end. In the early days he was dubbed insane and dangerous and I came off him quite a few times,” said Mandi. Last year they started show jumping and then moved on to pre-novice level affiliated eventing. This year they are concentrating on showing. “At Addington we were initially pulled in 7th out of 23. After the judge rode him, he moved up to 2nd place – I didn’t know whether to laugh, scream or cry!” |
