The Pony Club has this week welcomed its 15,000th member to its centre membership scheme.
The centre membership scheme was introduced in 1998 for children who do not own their own pony, but want to get involved in Pony Club activities through their local riding school.
And the scheme is not confined to the UK – there are also Pony Club approved centres in Switzerland, Dubai, Singapore, Cayman Islands, Spain, South Korea and Portugal.
Cherry Michell, chairman of the Pony Club said: “I am so delighted that there is the chance for every young person, whether or not they own a pony, to benefit from the wealth of experience within the Pony Club so they can learn about caring for horses and ponies, improve their riding skills and above all have fun!”
