The England polo team to face Australia at the Cartier International this month have now been named.
Luke Tomlinson, Mark Tomlinson, James Beim and Malcolm Borwick will play for the Coronation Cup at Guards Polo Club on 27 July.
Following the quartet’s victory over New Zealand in the Williams De Broe Test Match at the Beaufort Polo Club last month, the selectors decided to retain the winning combination.
England team manager Andrew Hine said: “We felt the players worked well as a team against New Zealand and have provided us with a sound platform to build on for the game against Australia.”
England captain Luke Tomlinson will be making his seventh Cartier International appearance.
Luke said: “It was a total team effort against New Zealand and we all know what we need to do to beat Australia. The Aussies will be extremely well mounted. We will need to be very disciplined and take our opportunities as and when they arise.”
