Carl Hester ruled out of 2008 Olympic Games

  • Carl Hester has suffered a massive blow after being ruled out of the 2008 Olympics following an injury to his second horse, Lecantos.

Just nine days ago H&H reported that Carl’s other Olympic hope, Dolendo, had been ruled out due to a recurring leg injury.

And on Friday (13 June) vets examined Sasha Stewart’s Lecantos at the Rotterdam International Show and advised him to pull out of the competition.

Following the announcement that Dolendo would not be contention Carl told H&H how excited he was about taking Lecantos to the Olympics. He said last week: “It is disappointing about Dolendo but I’m really excited about taking Lecantos — he’ll be more suited to the Olympic conditions.”

H&H are waiting to speak to Carl himself, more news later…
