Carl Hester aims for a place on Britain’s Olympic team

  • Dressage rider Carl Hester is campaigning his own and Ann Corey’s Dolendo for a place on the British Olympic team.

Spencer Wilton previously rode the Donnerhall gelding, becoming national champion in 2007 and winning their first overseas international, Saumur, in 2006.

Carl was fourth on his first grand prix appearance with Dolendo at the Olympia World Cup Qualifier in December. This week the pair travel to the Spanish Sunshine Tour.

Other Brits contesting three weeks of international competition in Spain, include Richard Davison, who has entered the big tour to make his competition debut on Artemis.

Carl Hester and Escapado scored the highest dressage marks for Britain ever at an Olympic Games in Athens 2004, where the pair finished 13th, scoring 71.575 in the kur.
