Dog handed to police after horse attacked on bridleway


  • A dog has been surrendered to Northamptonshire Police after a horse and rider were attacked on a bridleway in Northamptonshire.

    Shelley Odell and 20-year-old Jake were on the Brampton Valley Way, near Hanging Houghton last week, when a Staffordshire Bull terrier, gave chase.

    Jake sustained injuries to his chest and sheath.

    A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the owner of the dog had been “very cooperative”, and the incident is being investigated.
