A woman was injured and two horses killed as a result of a road traffic accident in Wales on Monday morning (7 January).
The 33-year-old woman was driving on the B4306 Hendy to Llannon road when her VW Polo collided with a stray horse.
A 24-year-old man driving in the opposite direction also hit a horse. He was unhurt.
Both horses were put down at the scene.
On Sunday two horses were stuck by cars and killed after straying onto the A20 in Kent.
And in third separate accident a man was seriously injured and a pony killed when they were involved in a collision with a 4×4 vehicle at 10.45am on 29 December in Newland Common Road, Droitwich.
The man was walking alongside the pony who was being ridden by a woman. She escaped injury but the man was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, with serious head, shoulder and leg injuries.
The pony died at the scene.
