Former British Show Jumping Association chairman Peter Gillespie will not chair the show jumping development committee in 2008 after losing his place on the executive board.
Peter, who developed the winter Premier League circuit, lost his central region seat to Alan Tredwell, the father of show jumper and former Foxhunter champion Helen Tredwell, who gained 61% of the vote.
BSJA chief executive Jacky Wood said: “As Peter has not been elected, he will cease to chair the development committee from the end of 2007. He has done tremendous work over the years and we hope will continue to be involved.”
The other candidates were unopposed. The four nationally elected members are Liz Edgar, William Funnell, Steven Smith and Tim Stockdale, while the four regionally elected members are David Broome (Wales), James Loffet (central west), Jane Twemlow (south-east) and Julian Trim (south-west).
