Sheepgate Tack & Togs Dressage Championships

  • Jane Green polished off a successful first season with Carl Hester and Kenny Earle’s Groove Jet by winning the advanced title at Sheepgate Tack & Togs Dressage Championships (5-7 October).

Debi Thomas and her Dutch-bred nine-year-old Pavarotti took the medium open championship. The novice open title went to Ruth Hurst with Sue Broome’s five-year-old Fabioso.

Stephen Urwin enjoyed a memorable weekend, taking the prelim and novice titles with Patricia Nuttall’s talented string of horses. Mr Bojangles, an eight-year-old Thoroughbred and a former Burghley Young Event Horse finalist, took the prelim from his stablemate Let’s Dance — who went on to claim the novice restricted title ahead of another stablemate, High Fidelity.

Claire Tomlinson and Chevet Braveheart, a 14.2hh Welsh Cob, took the elementary restricted championship.
