Successful show cob Krypton put down

  • Heavyweight show cob Krypton, 11, has been put down after falling ill.

Originally in the care of Lynn Russell, the grey was owned by Sue Channer for three years, when ridden and produced by her daughter, Annette Hance.

Krypton took several championships last year, including reserve supreme at Ponies (UK).

“He was taken ill in the ring at the Horse of the Year Show and never really recovered,” said Mrs Channer. “He was a real character, a showman with that ‘look at me’ factor.”
