Thirteen nations contested Addington Manor’s CDI for ponies, juniors and young riders which, for the first time, included a senior international run alongside.
Germany’s Carlotta Hassenburger and Dulcia took all three pony classes on more than 71%. Emily Harris and Don Joshi were the best of the British with three solid performances to take a fourth and two third placings.
Austrian Markus Jungwirth, 20, won all three young rider classes on Smart Cookie. Runner-up in the team test was Anne-Marie Perry and Forrest Fire. In the following day’s young rider prix st georges, Anne-Marie also took second spot on Palermo with Forrest Fire third.
Anne-Marie is a member of the World Class Start squad, along with Natalie Allen, Lara Griffith and Charlie Hutton, who all achieved good placings over the three days.
Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris were double winners at grand prix.
Keri Bates made a successful start to her first season in juniors with a double win on Donna Parrina in the team and individual tests. She also finished runner-up to Melissa Beer and Celestial King in the music.
